MARTORIATOR REVIEW

MARTORIATOR - BLOODPAINTED VISIONS OF PERPETUAL CONFLICT

Newcomers to the realm of warmongering metal madness, the deadly duo of Martoriator have given us their first full-length of over the top violent chaos, and what a headspinning descent into Hell it is! Get ready for every last little bit of both your existence and memory to be torn asunder by the grinding gears of existential bloodlust and horrors of the most depraved sort!

Why wait? Immediately with "Cannibal Dictatorship" we get hammered by mechanicized drums, raspy snarled vocals, and very militant guitarwork that all sync up in ballistic rage to get things all set. We had been given "Nail Rain" and a single to prepare us for the inevitable onslaught of the album's release and it served as a hideous throwback to the heyday of early Morbid Angel and Angelcorpse with their own touch of sadistic uniqueness among the riffs and raucousness. Feelling like a warzone manifesting before one's own eyes without any escape "Chaos Protocol" is war metal magnificene, all grinding speed and no signs of restraint whatsoever. "66 Tons of Armored Hatred" is even more of a deep dive into unimaginable internicine pandemonium, lightning-fast all throughout and practically painting a scene of either the worst horrors or the most pleasing sadism. And then right at the end of this chapter we get sent to the frontline to serve our purpose as fodder with "Perpetual Conflict" and all of its seething hatred for mankind and yet we know well enough that the conflict has only just begun...

Without warning, without mercy, Martoriator have conquered the first half of 2025 with the most pessimistic, nihilistic, and sociopathic type of metal imaginable. They don't need any fancy or desperate labels to sell their wares; the lack of any life or signs of it sells it perfectly well as is.

9/10
