HEXELLA - THE ANCIENT GAPING MOUTH
After dirty teases with demos and a split with like-minded fellow Texans Wülfskol, Hexella (and that's meant to be read as "Hex eya", an amalgamation of "Hex her" in English and Spanish for all you dummies) brings their scummy blackenend street punk d-beat decadence to us riding on the back of the mighty Hell's Headbangers, a fine addition to that unwearied label's salacious roster indeed.
Feral frontwoman Noelia Garza leads us on the "Malefic Warpath" with classic ancient death metal angles and ungodly thundering bass steadily oummleing you into a mangled heap. Now for a bit punkier and Motörheadier action with "Ophitic Revelation" wuth speed and adrenaline rushing through their veins and slapping the listener hard. Even still driving hard at breakneck speed on their D-beat street with the aforementioned traits is "No Return" which embodies all things metal and crust painted chrome and rust. In the rare event that they decide to slow things down a bit they give us "Obsidian Night" which has more of a NWOBHM and early speed metal tone to it with all of the requisite aggression intact. Full metal anarchy and rebellion are at play in "Voices of Vorsa" as the ancient spirits of the art are all summoned for another seance of the damned. One final hellblast is on deck for "Where The Scythe Falls" as Garza unleashes death and destruction with all the nastiness and the other band members slaughter alongside her to do an about face to all that dare confront them. No pity whatsoever!
Ready to cub stomp posers and bury the feckless, Hexella's black magic nights are teeming with wild and insalubrious sin and venomous shenanigans. Saddle up, stomp on the pedal, and ride hard like the wind straight into the heart of the abode of the devil himself!
